The Devil Can’t Sing

The project explores the connection between two female vocal traditions: Kulning from NO/SE and Son Jarocho from MX. Through singing and talking, we seek to examine the shared pre-Christian history of these traditions and their potential to serve as a bridge between historical expressions of gender resistance in our respective regions. August 25 we have been invited to a residency at Eker Gård, Beitostølen, to create a performance and embark on the initial phases of investigating.
